Superbike World Championships, AGAIN!

Get your backside trackside to make some noise for mental health as you join Winston on Black Dog Ride's 2nd Tour to the Australian Yamaha Finance Round of the 2019 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship at Phillip Island!

Black Dog Ride is proud to announce it has renewed its place as the Official Charity partner for the Australian Yamaha Finance Round of the 2019 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, to be held in February 2019. This marks the second year Black Dog Ride has been involved as the Official Charity Partner for the event.

Phillip Island's CEO, Fergus Cameron is enthusiastic about the continued partnership, "We are extremely passionate about utilising our unique event platform to raise awareness, educate our fans, and assist Black Dog Ride in raising the profile of mental health amongst the motorcycling community."

Black Dog Ride's CEO David Peach reminds riders, "Awareness is the best catalyst for promoting help seeking behaviour and preventing the tragedy of suicide. Get involved in this great event and join us trackside in making noise for mental health on Philip Island in February 2019!"

Registration information

Registered riders are able to join Black Dog Ride from Tuesday 19th February in either Marysville (VIC) or Wollongong (NSW) en route to Phillip Island, and they will receive a 3-day trackside pass to the Phillip Island GP Circuit, enjoy a catered BBQ "Champion's Dinner" with past and current ASBK & WSBK racers on Friday 22nd February at the Circuit.

Your rider's kit includes wristband, patch, decal and souvenir BDR paddock stool! On arrival at PI, we'll do a Black Dog Ride-exclusive parade lap of the race circuit. Over in the WSBK Expo, Black Dog Ride will have a dedicated marquee at Phillip Island where spectators can drop by for a chat with Black Dog Ride's Team or purchase merchandise. Riders are encouraged to stop by and help spread the message!


19th February to 24th February 2019 (Race Carnival 22-24th inclusive)


We'll have 2 start points on the 19th February - Marysville (VIC) and Wollongong (NSW). Exact Routes to PI are subject to Police approval so we will advise registered riders closer to the day, but for NSW there'll be an overnight stay in Bega, and for VIC, they'll spend the first night in Bright. Both rides meet up on the evening of the 20th in Sale, and on the 21st the combined rides head to Phillip Island.


There are three ticket types, Bronze, Silver & Gold, with camping options at the circuit. See the ticketing pages linked below for prices and inclusions. If you've already made arrangements to go to WSBK but want the BDR experience, purchase the Bronze package. If you're doing the full ride with BDR, choose from Silver or Gold & with our without camping. Simples!

All registered riders will receive a riders kit with a souvenir patch, decal, wristband & paddock stool.

Meet up in Marysville VIC on 19th February, you'll loop up through some great Victorian high country roads, finishing at Bright for the evening. On Wednesday 20th Feb, Black Dog Ride heads down to Sale and meets up with Black Dog Riders coming in from NSW, with a group meal together that evening. The next day, Thursday 21st, the combined groups depart together for Phillip Island.

Those registererd for the VIC leg are encouraged to join all at in informal pre-ride dinner from 5.30pm with Dinner at 7.00pm at The Duck Inn 6 Murchison St, Marysville VIC 3779.

Join us in Wollongong, NSW on Tuesday 19th February 2019 to commence the trip to Phillip Island with fellow Black Dog Riders. Starting at Wollongong, you'll loop up through some great and famous roads, toward Queanbeyan, before finishing at Tathra for the evening. You'll remember that Tathra was ravaged by bushfires in March 2018 so we're hoping to meet up with local first responders over dinner. On Wednesday 20th Feb, the ride heads down to Sale and meets up with Black Dog Riders from Victoria. On Thursday 21st, the combined group heads to Phillip Island together.

Registrations close 31st January 2019. Due to traffic restrictions this ride has a capped attendance number; so please book early to avoid disappointment. If you get to the site and your ticket type has been sold out, we'll try to negotiate for more but can't promise.
